There is a little town in the Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China that is believed to have the most spectacular sunrise in the world. The Rilong Town is at 3,160 meters above sea level and is the best base for mountaineers to get acclimatized before climbing Siguniang Shan (Four Sisters Peaks). There is a mixed culture of Qiang, Tibetan, and Han ethnic minorities who are a tourist-friendly lot. There are several lodges, hostels, and hotels to suit different budgets. There are shops where you can buy climbing equipment. The town is a great base from where you can explore the Siguniangshan National Park and go trekking, camping, and hiking.
