Baihe (White River)

About 85Kms from Beijing, China is the picturesque Bai River. The name means White River and it is named so because it looks like a dragon with white scales. Around the River is a popular mountain climbing area. It has a variety of slabs, overhangs, and multi-pitch levels that are perfect for serious climbing. The 560-meters tall Baihebao Reservoir is a wonderful place for photography because 85% of the surrounding area is covered with dense forests. Camping is another popular tourist activity on the banks of the River and people come in large groups to enjoy BBQ and grill parties. It is also a wonderful vantage point to view the section of the Great Wall built during the Ming Dynasty.
