Hongluo Temple

The 1000-year-old Hongluo Temple is situated just 55Kms from Beijing and is a very popular tourist attraction. Flanked by the Hongluo Hill on one side and the Hongluo Pool on the other, the Temple enjoys a splendid location and a breathtaking view. There are four halls dedicated to Buddha, namely the Three Gate Hall, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Three Sages Hall, and the Mahavira Hall. Statues of the four heavenly kings represent blessings for a good harvest. The statue of Maitreya or fat laughing Buddha signifies tolerance. You will also find two 30-meter tall Ginkgo trees that locals believe sprout limbs whenever a new dynasty is going to rule.
