Imperial Ancestral Temple

The Imperial Ancestral Temple (Taimiao) in Beijing is a historic site near the Forbidden City. Ceremonies were held in honor of the imperial family's ancestors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties at this temple. Today it is called the Working People's Cultural Palace and is an expanse of 197,000 square meters near the Tiananmen Square. It is a beautiful area with a beautiful palace, red walls, tall pines and cypresses, stone bridges, and the picturesque Golden River.
