Longtan Park

There is a superb urban recreational area in Beijing, China called the Longtan Park. It is very artistically landscaped with rockeries, bridges, tea houses, dragon boats, and restaurants. The focal point of the Park is the Longtan Lake which means “Pool of the Chinese Dragon”. The Lake is so large, that it has hillocks, gorges, isles, stone bridges, waterfalls, green landscapes, peninsulas, etc. which make the lake area look like a park within a park! Boats are available to explore the area. The Park is the venue for the Longtan Spring Festival Fair held in January and February each year. The Fair has flower shows, musical shows, acrobatics, folk arts, garden art, and other activities.
