The Luodai Ancient Town is a part of Hakka ethnic group’s cultural heritage. Even today, this group consist of a huge majority of the population living here. The history of the town dates back to the period of Three Kingdoms (220 – 280 AD). At that time, it was called Wanfu Street, but once a prince visited and dropped hid jade band into a well, it was renamed to Luodai (dropping).
The town is located about six miles from Chengdu center and it covers more than 10 miles of surface. You can see many monuments of Hakka culture, including the Four Guild halls and the Hakka Museum. The garden of Hakka Park is one of the most beautiful in the province.
