Having a massive collection of 3 million ancient relics, the Sichuan Silk Museum in Chengdu, China is a real treat. It has exhibits that date back to 5,000 years back. Although called the “silk” museum, the exhibits actually include bronze items, ceramics, priceless paintings by Zhang Daqian, pottery, 200 Han Dynasty sculptures and carved bricks, 120 pieces of ancient paintings and calligraphy, and more. The most famous painting is the “Calyx Canthus and Dual Birds” by the Song Dynasty Emperor Huizong. The blue-and-white porcelain cups, plates, bowls, and containers have the most beautiful designs and are famous all over the world. This Museum is a must-see place when you are in Chengdu.
