Laodong Lu (Laodong Road) is a unique street in Hangzhou, China where you will find art enthusiasts and artists. It is little wonder that there are many shops along the road that sell art materials like paints, canvases, calligraphy inks and sticks, and other art supplies. It also has many bars and cafes along the road where students of the nearby China Academy of Art gather in the evenings and weekends. Of course, being in the West Lake Scenic Area is a great inspiration for budding artists. There are a few art galleries and calligraphy studios too where you can see contemporary art.
