Solitary Hill (Gu Shan)

When you want the best panoramic view of the West Lake scenic area in Zhejiang Province, China then there is nothing to beat the Solitary Hill (Gu Shan) which is on the lake itself. It is just 38 meters high and covers an area of 200 square meters and is full of plum trees. But the Hill is a great vantage point to admire the romantic Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake, the Xi Ling Bridge, Inner West Lake, and the Outer West Lake scenic areas. The Solitary Hill has a wooden platform at its summit which is called the “platform for watching fish”.
