St. Sophia Cathedral

Also called the Harbin Art Gallery, the St. Sophia Cathedral in Harbin, China is the biggest Orthodox Church in the East. It is more than 53 meters tall and is spread over an area of 720 square meters. This tourist attraction is under the State Protection as one of the Key Cultural Relics of China. It has exquisite murals that depict the architectural history of the locals. Crosses that had been removed years ago have now been replaced. The Cathedral has been restored completely to its original glory after the pendent lamps, the bell tower, and the dome also underwent extensive repairs. This is an unusual sight is China and definitely worth a visit.
