Qingkou Village

The Qingkou Village located in the Honghe Prefecture of the Yunnan Province of China is a small community of 150 families. There are about 800 villagers belonging to the Hani ethnic minority group. Known for its Hani Terraced Rice Fields, the villagers live in enviably picturesque surroundings. The hill slopes are also dotted with quaintly attractive mushroom-shaped homes of the villagers. The people live in peaceful harmony with nature and their homes are made with locally available mud, wood, and bamboo, and straw. There is a small museum in the village that showcases the history and culture of the Hani people.
