Youmin Temple

The Bayi Park in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China has some of the best attractions in town and the Youmin Temple is one of them. Built during the Southern Dynasty, it is also called the Bless People Temple. The highlight of this temple is the copper-cast Buddha statue that is just half a meter tall but weighs 18Kgs. The Temple is still a place of worship and you will find monks all over the complex praying or meditating. On the eve of the Lunar New Year, the temple is full of devotees who offer wax candles, incense, and prayers in order to seek blessings. The atmosphere is like a fantastic temple fair that is worth seeing.
