The Nanjing Museum of Paleontology located in Nanjing, China consists of the biggest collection of invertebrate and plant prehistoric fossils in the world. The two most popular exhibits are – the fossil flower which is considered the oldest in the world, and the skeleton of Mamenchisaurus which reportedly had the longest neck among land animals. There are many other fossils and drawings that are worth seeing. Visitors can also see BBC shows about dinosaurs. The Museum is a popular base for scientific research and organizes many educational activities for school and college students. It is next door (down the hill) from Jiming temple so you can combine the two attractions in one visit.
