Ming-Qing Street

Pingyao, China

Although it is a part of the Pingyao Old Town, the Ming-Qing Street has become known under this name in 1856. However, this location was a reputable business hub since ancient times and the merchants came here to sell their goods. The street is rather narrow and all the buildings constructed to resemble the architecture of Qing and Ming dynasties.

Ming-Qing Street is around 450 yards long and it is located parallel with and between the Shaxiang Steet and the East City Wall. You can find more than 70 shops where you can buy various souvenirs and hand-made products and you can even visit the local cinema.
