Mount Meili is located on the very Tibetan border and the place is a holy land as it is a part of Tibetan Buddhists’ pilgrimage. This mountain range has a total of thirteen peaks with the highest one being Kawagebo (6,740 meters). It is interesting to mention that no one ever made it to the top.
If you are an adventurer, Meili Xue Shan will suit your taste perfectly. Many people come here to hike and enjoy the snowy peaks and glaciers from the viewing platforms. It is easy to get to Mount Meili by taking a minibus from Shangri-La, but keep in mind that you will need warm clothes.
