East Lake Park

The East Lake was built within the borders of Wuhan in 1950 it was pronounced a tourist attraction in 1982. Upon establishing the People’s Republic of China, Chairman Mao regarded the lake as its second residence. When it comes to the East Lake Park, it covers a huge surface and offers many attractions.

The Mill Stone Mountain offers more than a dozen gardens specialized in particular plants, such as cherry and plum. If you want to know more about the history, visit the Luoyan Scenic Area. But if you want to enjoy the scenery, head to the Tsingtao Island where you can enjoy an outdoor theatre or climb many towers to enjoy stunning views.
