Covering an expanse of 46,900 square meters, the Buddhist Guiyuan Temple is located in Wuhan, China. It was built during the Qing Dynasty and has five courtyards – one in the center where the temple structure is, and four in the primary directions of north, south, east, and west. There are beautiful idols of Amitabha, the Dashizhi and Kwan-yin Bodhisattvas. The Sutra Collection Pavilion has many relics like Buddhist statues, stone carvings, paintings, religious items, books, calligraphy, etc. There are the famous 500 luohans (statues) with expressions depicting emotions like joy, sorrow, laughter, peace, anger, etc. The temple is a great tourist attraction and place of worship.
