Longquan Shan Scenic Area

Wuhan, China

If you head southeast from Wuhan City center for about 12 miles, you will reach the Longquan Shan Scenic Area. This is a valley surrounded by two mountains and located just by the Liangzi Lake. The area spreads on three square miles of the surface with pleasant scenery to enjoy while taking a stroll.

Li Xi Dug, an official during the Tang Dynasty, visited this area and dug two wells for getting spring water. Today, these wells are called eastern and western well and they are the biggest attraction in the area because they can predict the weather. If the vapor comes from the western well, you can expect rain sun, but if you see it from the eastern well, the day will be sunny.
