The well-known Mao Zedong Villa is located near the East Lake Scenic Area in Wuhan, China. It was a pleasant retreat for the Chairman and other privileged persons of the Politburo. The Villa has a lovely footpath that is lined with attractive pine, plum, and bamboo trees. In fact, the entire property has so many trees that it looks like a dense forest. The Meiling Building One was the private residence of the Chairman and the place where he met foreign dignitaries. Meiling Building Two has a large assembly hall with a stage and hundreds of upholstered chairs. Meiling Building Three has a competition-level indoor swimming pool with underwater lighting.
