Heilongjiang Provincial Museum

Harbin, China

The city of Harbin in China had been original established by Russians. Over centuries, the city has seen power-struggle among the Russians, Chinese, Japanese, Mongols, Koreans, and other ethnicities. Although belonging to China today, Harbin has many examples of the different cultures that existed here. The best example is the Heilongjiang Provincial Museum which has the displays representing the different cultures. They include plant and animal fossils from the dinosaur age, as well as relics from the Jin and Qing Dynasties. There are also relics from the Japan-China war and World War II. For those interested in history and anthropology, this is a must-see attraction.
