Having the distinction of being the longest ocean-crossing suspension bridge, the Hangzhou Bay Bridge spans 36Kms. It matches the Golden Gate of California in its beauty and structure. Built in a unique S-shape, the bridge is considered the east coast’s superhighway that connects Jiaxing in the north to Ningbo Province in the south across the Bay. This is the fastest motorway between Ningbo and Shanghai. With the permissible speed of 100Kms/hour, the motorists can cover a distance of 120Kms in just 2 and a half hours instead of 4 hours. Being on the ocean, it bypasses the internal traffic of both the cities.
