Located on the Shounam Middle Road, opened in 2008, Ningbo Museum is one of the must-see places for all those visiting Ningbo. Peculiar museum building is a unique example of extraordinary contemporary, unique and striking Chinese architecture. This award-winning piece of architecture designed by Wang Shu attracts as much attention as the museum artifacts and contents do. Both its exterior and interior tell a story. It was built from the remnants – demolished villages building materials, very suitable for a history museum. There are lots of interesting and invaluable artifacts within the museum. Working hours are from 9 AM to 4 PM, except Mondays.
