Inner Mongolia Grasslands is geographically one of the most uniquely attractive regions of China. Situated at a height of more than 1000M from the sea level, Inner Mongolia itself is a vast cold desert but the Grasslands are a beautiful area. In the northwest of the grasslands are the Hulun and the Bell lakes. The Nadam Festival, which is a horse racing season is the highlight of the region. For those who wish to get away from city life, these grasslands are a welcome change. The festival also has displays of wrestling and archery besides horse racing.
