Changchun Taoist Temple

The beautiful Changchun Taoist Temple is located near Wuhan City, China. It dates back to the Yuan Dynasty and then was reconstructed during the Ming period. The temple is situated in a very scenic area of the Baota and Huhelou mountain peaks. Because the area is covered with dense pine forests, the region is called the island of pines. The temple was built upwards on the hill slopes and have five layers. The layers are spread over four courts horizontally. The main deity is the Supreme Venerable Sovereign, which is a gold-encrusted sculpture. Regular prayers and religious festivals are conducted here even today.
