Located in Qingdao, China is the often-visited Qingdao Municipal Museum. It is situated in the same complex as the Haier Science Museum opposite the International Convention Center, which are also popular tourist attractions. The Municipal Museum has a vast collection of 100,000 ancient precious artifacts that represent the history, culture, art, and commerce of the Qingdao region. The items include intricate carvings on bamboo, wood, horns, tortoiseshell, and ivory, paintings, exquisite pottery and porcelain items, calligraphy, ancient coins, bronze items, ceramics, and more. The exhibits reflect the local folk art and customs as well as those of the Ming and Qing Dynasty.
