Capital Museum

The Capital Museum in Beijing is a frequently visited place by tourists as well as locals because it has some of the most unique and valuable relics of ancient Chinese dynasties. The museum is divided into three parts - the main exhibits, the fine collection, and the temporary displays. The Emperor Qian Long's marble stele which weighs 40 tons is considered the most precious treasure at this museum. Besides, there are almost 5622 ancient treasures like calligraphy, paintings, bronze vessels, exquisite porcelain, jade ornaments, intricate needlework, imperial seals, Buddhist statues, and more. Some of the relics belong to the New Stone Age and are well preserved.
