Shihua Cave

Considered the best place for geological research, the Shihua Cave (Shihuadong or Shifo cave) has the perfect “karst” rock formations and caves that tourists find fascinating. The caves have 7 distinct colored rock layers, giving them a naturally artistic appearance. The topmost layer is from where you can see all the beautiful surrounding area. The 7th or bottommost layer of rock has an underground river, the tinkling sound of which can be heard from every section of the caves. The site is full of amazing stalactites, stalagmites, waterfall curtains, flowering plants, and awesome natural stones. The milky-white stones called the 'Yue Nai Shi' shaped like mushrooms or lotuses are an extraordinary sight!
